Tropical Pineapple Smoothie
2 cups fresh pineapple
4-5 dates
1/2 head of romaine or 1 cup alfalfa sprouts
4-5 leaves of kale
1/2 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1 teaspoon psyillium seed husks
Fresh mint leaves (to taste)
1-2 cups crushed ice
Put pineapple and dates in your blender and blend well. Then add the romaine/sprouts and kale and the mint. Blend well. Then add 1-2 cups of crushed ice. Blend till very smooth.
Note: I always prefer FRESH ingredients in my smoothies. If you can't get fresh - use frozen or as a last alternative you can use canned fruit. Fresh is always best.
Also….with every recipe, you can vary the ingredient amounts until you get it to taste just the way you like it. Be creative! Have fun!
