Berries Galore Smoothie
Here is a great smoothie that kids (and adults) love.
2 bananas
1/2 - 1 cup wild blueberries
1 cup raspberries (or strawberries)
5 chard leaves or 5 kale leaves or 1/2 head of romaine
1/2 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1 teaspoon psyillium seed husks
1-2 cups crushed ice
Blend all fruits and veggies until smooth. Then add the crushed ice and blend until smooth. Your smoothie will have a beautiful green color (from the greens) and will taste like berries and banana.
Like many of the smoothie recipes I share, you will see that I often add some very nutritional greens to the recipe (like kale/romaine/chard). The greens do not overpower the smoothie (your kids probably will not even taste them) and you get some great vitamins with your tasty smoothie!
