Pear Blueberry Lime Ginger Smoothie
2 pears
1 1/2 cups of blueberries
1/3 of a small lime (with peel or not - you decide how you like it)
1 inch or more of ginger root peeled and finely grated
5 leaves of radicchio/frisee lettuce or other green that you like (i.e. kale or spinach)
1-2 teaspoons Raw Honey (optional - if you want it sweeter)
1 cup ice
Healthy Optional Additions I use in my smoothies:
1/2 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1-2 teaspoons Psyillium seed husks
2 tablespoons protein powder
Blend all fruits and vegetables and healthy additions.
Then add ice a little at a time and blend until smooth.
Use only as much ice as you like to get the consistency you like.
Enjoy!
